A Life-changing Beer Experience. - From Qingdao with Love

Ladies and Gentlemen, My Dear Friends,

Please allow my self-indulgence here and be patient with what I have to say in the following minute, because I am going to say it three times:

Qingdao Yuanjiang Beer is the best beer in China and one of the best I've ever had in the world!
Qingdao Yuanjiang Beer is the best beer in China and one of the best I've ever had in the world!
Qingdao Yuanjiang Beer is the best beer in China and one of the best I've ever had in the world!

I have to say that I didn't expect it to be that good when I planned my trip. All I heard was how people drink it in plastics bags (and we did it too!) and how it's different in Qingdao from other places... Well, the truth is, it is ONLY AVAILABLE in Qingdao! "Yuanjiang" means "original" in Chinese, and it is the unpasteurized version of the famous Qingdao beer so it's only sold locally due to the strict requirements to keep it fresh and good. It is so refreshing in summer and best with all those awesome fresh and fat seafood available in Qingdao, let alone those street-side restaurants, beaches, 1900 European style buildings and MOST FRIENDLY PEOPLE AND CUTEST ACCENT ever!

You can tell that I have much love for Qingdao and I bet you would be too if you were there - well preferrably with us to have an even cooler travel experience.

The below photos are contributed by Hu's Fabulous Tour Qingdao Chapter (meaning beer sessions from 10am to mid-night, daily) for your edification. Eat your heart out.

We all miss Qingdao. And I will be back.

Lots of Love,
HU

I loved Qingdao! Loved the unpasteurized beer as well!

I remember Kent's photo of the beer in a bag, hanging on a hook. So I see he wasn't pulling our legs with his picture!

I definitely must visit that city.

By the way, you might find Havana to be interesting. We enjoyed beer at a brew-pub, but didn't have it in the tube like the table in this pic: https://picasaweb.google.com/murjanet/CubaHavana#5576267345555805682 and this one https://picasaweb.google.com/murjanet/CubaHavana#5576375276354990834. Salsa music plays while you are drinking and the excellent beer is made in the building.

Also, in a town called Trinidad (in Cuba) we had a clove-flavoured beer. Didn't like it much, which made it worth taking a picture of: https://picasaweb.google.com/murjanet/CubaTrinidad#5574883844244751874

oops, I seem I am misrepresenting myself as I am in my daughter's account. I am actually Muriel, Kent's mother
